LESSON 5 · First Impressions That Last

The Reintroduction Strategy

Timing matters more than most people realize. The longer you wait, the more the first impression hardens into a fixed story, so reintroduce yourself sooner rather than later — before the other person has fully made up their mind.

When you do, keep it forward-looking. You do not need to relive the awkward moment or apologize again. Open a clean conversation, stay light, and give them a current version of you to react to. Fresh evidence works best when it is not weighed down by the past.
