The Frame Test

Here is a fast diagnostic: name the audience out loud, then test one specific word against them. Talk on data security to engineers and say latency — they lean in. Say the same word to executives and watch them tune out; they are waiting for cost and risk.

That one tuned-out word is your signal. Walk through your opening, your sharpest example, and your call to action, and flag any term that only one group would care about. Swap each flagged word for the one these specific people actually use — and your content stops sounding correct-but-distant.
