LESSON 5 · The Logic of Arguments

Trusting Your Logical Gut

Logical intuition is not always right, but it is valuable as a first filter. When something feels off, that feeling is your pattern-recognition system flagging a potential problem.

Beware of confusing logical intuition with emotional discomfort. Sometimes an argument feels wrong because it threatens a belief you hold dear, not because the logic is flawed. The test: can you articulate the specific logical error? If yes, your intuition is correct.
