LESSON 5 · Decide Together
Prevention Frameworks
Build processes that stop paralysis before it starts:
- Assign a DACI for every decision — who is the Driver, the Approver, the Contributors, and the Informed?
- Set a deadline — if it arrives without a decision, the designated authority decides with the information on hand.
- Use the 70% rule — decide once you have about 70% of the information you would like. Waiting for 100% means deciding too late.
- Separate reversible from irreversible — reversible calls should be made fast by one person, not debated by committee.
