Traditional Chinese records describe Zheng He's flagship as a "treasure ship" up to 400 feet long — though the true size is debated, with no ship plans surviving and conservative scholars estimating closer to 200 to 300 feet from the limited physical evidence. Even the cautious figures dwarf Columbus's Santa Maria, which was about 60 feet. The scale was not even comparable.
