What You Can Do

First, identify your triggers. Which child's behavior irritates you most? That irritation often signals where your attention is least generous. The child who frustrates you most may need the most deliberate connection from you.

Seek the hidden strengths in the child you connect with less easily. The strong-willed child has leadership potential. The emotional child has deep empathy. Reframing difficult traits as future strengths changes your posture toward that child.
