The Determinism Argument

Physics deepens the problem. If every event is caused by prior events under the laws of nature, then the state of the universe at the Big Bang determined everything that would ever happen — including every thought in your brain and every decision you will ever make.

Quantum mechanics introduces randomness, but randomness is not free will. If your decisions are determined by prior causes, you are a puppet. If they are random, you are a dice roll. Neither option looks like genuine choice.
