The good news: voice confrontation fades with exposure. Podcasters, singers, and voice actors report that after hearing their recorded voice hundreds of times, the discomfort mostly disappears.
The brain simply updates its expectations, accepting the recording and the inner version as the same person — the same recalibration that makes unflattering photos of yourself feel normal once you have seen enough of them.
