After the Third Date

If date three is still a yes, have the intention conversation. Keep it simple: say you are enjoying this, want to keep seeing them, and ask how they feel.

If the answer is no, be direct and kind: "I've really enjoyed getting to know you, but I don't think we're the right match." No ghosting. No slow fade. No "I'm just really busy right now." Clean exits are a character trait — and they leave both people's dignity intact.
