Attractive Imperfection
The pratfall effect, discovered by psychologist Elliot Aronson, shows that competent people who make occasional mistakes are rated as more likeable than those who appear flawless. Perfection creates distance.

Stop trying to seem perfect. Share the embarrassing story. Laugh at yourself. Let them see you struggle with the chopsticks. The version of you that’s slightly messy but completely authentic is far more attractive than the curated highlight reel you think you need to present.
