LESSON 5 · The Art of Attraction

Beauty That Appreciates

Physical appearance has a ceiling; character has none. Looks fade, but the qualities that draw people in can keep growing for decades — read widely, stay curious, treat people well, handle hard times with grace.

Attractiveness isn't fixed by your features. In studies, people rate the same face as more attractive after learning the person is honest and kind — and as less attractive after learning they're rude or unfair. The shift holds across the rater's gender and the person's looks.
