LESSON 5 · Find Your Power Voice
The Ten-Second Check
Before any important conversation, take ten seconds to set your voice. Ask one question: what does this message need the listener to feel?
Then say your first sentence in your head, feeling that tone land in your throat and chest before any sound comes out. This tiny rehearsal stops the classic slip — praise delivered flat, or worry delivered with jittery energy — that wrecks a message before the first word is even heard.
