Here are targeted protocols for common speaking scenarios:

  • Formal presentation — full 5-minute warm-up emphasizing projection, diaphragmatic breathing, and practicing your opening two sentences at performance volume
  • Podcast or recording — gentle warm-up focused on mid-range consistency, articulation, and intimate conversational tone. Practice speaking at normal volume close to a surface
  • Phone or video call — brief warm-up focusing on clarity and energy, since you cannot use body language. Smile while warming up to brighten vocal tone
  • Difficult conversation — extended breathing exercises to activate calm
