LESSON 5 · The Daily Voice Warm-Up

Make It a Habit

Treat the cool-down like the warm-up: automatic. Build it into the moments you already have:

  • After presentations — wind down in the car or a quiet room before moving on.
  • After teaching days — hum and do descending slides on the commute home.
  • After loud nights out — shouting over music counts, so cool down after the party too.
  • After singing — concerts, karaoke, even belting in the car all earn a wind-down.
  • Before bed on hard days — a short cool-down plus steam sets up better overnight recovery.

It's a small habit that keeps your voice reliable day after day.
