The Core Skills

Four skills carry an unamplified voice:

  • Diaphragmatic breathing — deep breath support gives the steady airflow that powers projection without throat strain
  • Forward resonance — aim your voice into the mask of the face to concentrate energy in frequencies that carry
  • Open vowels — vowels carry the power of your voice, so opening them wider adds body and reach
  • Crisp consonants — over-articulate them slightly in a big space to keep words clear at distance

The key insight: projection is an efficiency problem, not a volume problem.
