LESSON 4 · Command Any Room
The Core Skills
Four skills carry an unamplified voice:
- Diaphragmatic breathing — deep breath support gives the steady airflow that powers projection without throat strain
- Forward resonance — aim your voice into the mask of the face to concentrate energy in frequencies that carry
- Open vowels — vowels carry the power of your voice, so opening them wider adds body and reach
- Crisp consonants — over-articulate them slightly in a big space to keep words clear at distance
The key insight: projection is an efficiency problem, not a volume problem.
