LESSON 4 · Command Any Room

Mastering Unamplified Speaking

Build your skills with these practice strategies:

  • Practice outdoors — a challenging environment, with no walls to reflect your voice. If you can stay clear outside, many indoor rooms feel easier
  • Speak to the back row — calibrate to the farthest listener, not the nearest. If the back row hears you, everyone closer is more likely to hear you too
  • Manage your energy — pace yourself, use pauses for breath recovery, and vary your intensity
  • Read the room — arrive early, clap your hands, and listen for echo or deadness

Master these, and your voice is more likely to fill a room without strain.
