The Art of Redirecting

Redirecting means changing where a conversation is going without making the other person feel brushed off. A blunt topic switch feels rude. Skilled people use verbal bridges that honor what was just said, then point the talk somewhere new.

It starts with validation. Before you steer, give credit to what was just said: "That is a real point, and it deserves its own conversation. Right now, can we lock down..." People let go of a topic far more easily once they feel heard first.
