LESSON 8 · Lead Every Conversation

Conversations You Avoid

The conversations you avoid are usually the most important ones. Telling someone their performance is falling short. Discussing salary honestly. Naming a problem in a relationship that is not working the way it should.

The cost of avoidance is not zero; it compounds. An unaddressed issue becomes a crisis. A salary gap becomes resentment that leads to resignation. Every day you postpone, the eventual conversation gets harder and the damage grows.
