LESSON 8 · Lead Every Conversation
After the Talk
After a difficult conversation, follow up. Check in the next day or week. Ask how they are processing what was discussed. Offer support if appropriate. The conversation is not the end — it is the beginning of a change process that requires ongoing attention.

The willingness to have difficult conversations is what separates effective leaders from popular ones. You cannot be both liked by everyone and honest with everyone. But you can be respected by everyone.
