LESSON 6 · Thrive Working Remote

Close the Distance

Remote politics are really information gaps: who trusts whom, which threads matter, and where decisions quietly form. You do not beat that by being louder. You beat it by making your work, judgment, and alliances easier to see.

Notice who gets tagged on important threads, whose ideas become plans, and which meetings shape direction before the formal update. Then build steady value with those people: useful context, clean docs, thoughtful replies, and follow-through they can trust.

The remote career ladder rewards visible evidence over visible busyness. If leaders can see your work, remember your judgment, and hear your name from more than one source, distance stops being the thing that holds you back.
