LESSON 6 · Learn Anything Faster

The Four Steps

The Feynman Technique is disarmingly simple but brutally effective:

  • Step 1: Choose a concept you want to understand
  • Step 2: Explain it in writing as if teaching a 12-year-old, using only simple words
  • Step 3: Identify where you got stuck, used jargon, or waved your hands vaguely
  • Step 4: Go back to the source material, fill the gaps, then simplify your explanation again

Repeat steps 2 through 4 until your explanation is clear, complete, and jargon-free. The cycle of simplifying, finding gaps, and re-learning is where genuine understanding lives.
