LESSON 2 · Invest Without Fear

Your Slice of the Pie

When you buy a stock, you become a part-owner of a real company. One share of Apple means you own a tiny fraction of every iPhone sold, every service subscription renewed, and every patent filed. You are not betting on a number on a screen. You hold a piece of the business itself.

This is not gambling — it is ownership. The stock market is simply a marketplace where these ownership slices are bought and sold. The price changes constantly, but the underlying business keeps running, hiring people, and earning revenue whether you check the ticker or not.
