LESSON 4 · Planning Your Financial Future

Generational Wealth

Generational wealth isn't about being rich — it's about giving the next generation a better starting position than you had.

The average American family that builds wealth and passes it down sees it disappear by the third generation — the famous "shirtsleeves to shirtsleeves" pattern.

Why? Because wealth transfer without financial education is just handing someone a timer. The money runs out because the skills to maintain and grow it were never passed along. Building generational wealth takes two things: growing your assets and growing your family's financial know-how.
