LESSON 4 · Ace Any Job Interview

Follow Up Without Being Annoying

Most people either never follow up or follow up too hard. The sweet spot is a single, well-timed message about 5-7 business days after your first outreach.

Keep it short. Reference your earlier note, add one new piece of value — a relevant article, a shared connection, or a specific idea — and close low-pressure: "No rush, just making sure this landed."

If there is still no reply, you may nudge once more, then stop. Never follow up more than twice; after that, silence is your answer. Move on.
