Start with the company website and recent press, check Glassdoor for insider culture, and scan LinkedIn for team structure. Focus on the last 3-6 months of news — a company that just raised funding has very different priorities than one in layoffs.

Plant a hook they cannot ignore: "I increased retention by 25% using the re-engagement ladder." They will almost certainly ask about it — which is the point. Prepare 2-3 breadcrumbs per interview: results that prompt deeper questions.
