The Favor Economy

The most powerful networkers give first, consistently. A 5-minute favor costs little but creates goodwill far larger than the time it took. Look for small ways to be useful — sharing a contact, forwarding an article, answering a quick question.

Favors that compound are specific and ungated: a focused intro, a one-line piece of advice, a resource forwarded without fanfare. The mindset matters: you are not building a who-owes-me account; you are lowering friction for people you actually notice.
