LESSON 5 · Network Without Being Awkward

The Content Channel

Turn content-sharing into a weekly batch. In one short sitting, line up a few items worth passing along, then route each to the right tier: an article to the Tier 1 contacts who would care, a thoughtful reaction to a Tier 2 contact's update, the exact tool a Tier 3 contact was asking about.

The rule: route, don't blast. Add one line of context per send — "Saw this, thought of you because of [specific thing]." Generic forwards die in the inbox; targeted ones get replies. Done weekly, this touches dozens of contacts a month — more than most people manage in a year, at a fraction of the effort.
