LESSON 1 · Speak Up at Work

Physiology Drives Psychology

Stand tall, take up space, and make eye contact. How you hold your body shapes how grounded and present you feel before you ever speak. A minute or two in an open, upright posture won't rewire your hormones, but it can settle nerves and help you feel more in command. Even small shifts help:

  • Uncross your arms
  • Plant your feet shoulder-width apart
  • Lift your chin slightly

You set the tone of the room before you say a single word.
