Choose Your Battles

Not every disagreement is worth fighting. Reserve your pushback for decisions that materially impact outcomes, team direction, or values.

Arguing over minor details erodes your credibility for major moments. When you only push back on things that matter, people pay attention because they know you're strategic about conflict. Keep a mental threshold: before speaking up, ask "Will this decision still matter in 6 months?" If not, let it go. Strategic restraint means your voice carries real weight when you use it.
