LESSON 3 · Thrive Working Remote
The Morning Bookend
Build a fifteen-minute morning ritual for the gap between waking up and opening your laptop. A walk, a coffee made without checking email, ten pages of a book, a few stretches — anything that is not work and that you do in the same order every day.
This ritual becomes your new commute. Your brain learns that this is the transition, and work does not begin until the transition ends. Without it, the first email opens before you've even decided to start — and you're in work mode an hour before you meant to be.
Skip it and you'll feel the difference by Wednesday. Keep it, and the workday starts when you start it, not when your phone pings.
