LESSON 4 · Thrive Working Remote

Ergonomic Essentials

Get three things right: an adjustable chair, monitor at eye level, and keyboard at elbow height. This boring setup prevents aches that can quietly derail remote work. Chronic pain is expensive and career-threatening, so fix the geometry before a small twinge becomes a problem.

The cheapest ergonomic tool is a timer. Sitting still for hours does the damage, so make breaks automatic.

Set a nudge to stand, stretch, and look away roughly every 45 minutes. A standing desk helps, but a reminder you obey beats gear you ignore.
