LESSON 4 · Thrive Working Remote

The Security Setup

Working from home makes your home setup part of the security surface — and many home routers still run old firmware nobody has touched since install day.

Lock down the basics your company allows: a VPN for public WiFi, an approved password manager, two-factor authentication on every work account, and automatic screen lock after a couple of minutes idle. If your employer does not supply a tool, ask IT what they approve before buying your own. It is cheap insurance, but it still needs to fit company policy.
