LESSON 2 · Master Your Time

Your Calendar Is a Lie

Most people use their calendar to track promises to other people — meetings, calls, appointments. The blank spaces in between get eaten by reactive busywork: email, Slack, "quick" tasks that quietly balloon.

Leftover time is the worst time. By the afternoon your focus is spent, so your most demanding work lands in your weakest hours. Time blocking flips the order: you give every hour a job before the day starts.
