Diction Is Authority

Studies on speech and credibility point the same direction: clearer, more fluent speech tends to be rated as more competent and trustworthy. Crisp diction is not about sounding fancy. It is about removing the barriers between your message and your listener's brain.

When diction is sloppy, listeners spend cognitive energy decoding your words instead of processing your ideas. That extra effort creates friction, and friction reduces persuasion. Clean diction removes the friction and lets your content land with full impact.
