Avoid the Mind-Reading Trap

Do not treat facial cues as secret truth. Ask a gentle question instead: "I may be reading this wrong, but did that concern you?" The question tests the cue without accusing.

The best face readers are humble. They notice shifts, compare them with baseline, and ask better questions. Certainty is the danger; curiosity is the skill.
