Your words are only half the story. When you apologize constantly, your body can follow suit — shoulders drop, eye contact breaks, your voice gets quieter. This physical shrinking can reinforce the mental habit and make others read you as less sure. Try an experiment: stand tall, make eye contact, and say "I have a question" with no apology. Notice how much steadier it feels than hunching and whispering "sorry, quick question."
