Make Your Case

When you're stating a position or answering a question, reach for "Point, Reason, Example": state your stance, explain why, then give a concrete case. Compare these two answers to "What should we do about the budget?"

Wishy-washy: "Well, maybe we could, like, look at some options? I think there might be ways to, you know, adjust things."

Crystal clear: "We should cut the marketing budget by 15%. Our digital ads have a negative ROI this quarter. For example, the Facebook campaign cost $5,000 but generated only $800 in revenue."

Same person, same knowledge, completely different impact. The structured version lands with far more force.
