Tiny Words, Big Trouble

The article system — a, an, the, or nothing — contains some of the shortest words in English. If your native language does not use articles this way, the choice can feel invisible at first.

The good news is that articles follow patterns. Not perfect rules — English loves exceptions — but reliable patterns that cover most situations. Once you internalize these patterns, articles stop being a guessing game and start feeling automatic.
