Idioms in Business

Some idioms cross from casual to professional seamlessly. "The ball is in your court" means it is now your turn to act: "I've sent the proposal — the ball is in their court now." It is clear, visual, and widely understood. But not every idiom travels well. "Barking up the wrong tree" is common among native speakers yet confusing for many non-native listeners. When in doubt, pick the idiom that paints the clearest picture with the fewest cultural assumptions.
