At the gate, listen for your flight number and destination, not just the gate number.

For delays and cancellations, you need: "When is the next available flight?" and "Can I get a meal voucher?" If your luggage is lost, head to the baggage claim office and say: "My bag didn't arrive. Here is my baggage tag." Then ask where and when it will be delivered.
