Tone Mistakes That Kill Replies
Too formal sounds robotic and too casual sounds careless. The useful middle is warm but direct: name the request, attach the draft or context, and give a clear deadline.

One of the biggest tone killers is passive aggression. "As per my previous email" tells the reader you are annoyed they did not reply. "Just checking in" after two days sounds impatient, and a string of nudges only makes it worse.
