Real-Time Adjustment

Detecting feedback matters only if you act. When engagement fades, ask a rhetorical question, switch into a story, change pace or volume, or move to reset attention.

The adjustment does not need to be dramatic. Sometimes simply pausing, making eye contact with the restless section, and lowering your voice is enough to recapture attention. The key is responsiveness — showing the audience that you are communicating with them, not performing at them.
