Overcoming the Stigma

The most common barriers to seeking help are not financial or logistical. They are psychological. Stigma, shame, and the belief that you should handle it alone keep millions from support that would genuinely improve their lives.

Consider this reframe: you would not set your own broken leg from a video tutorial. Mental health conditions are real medical conditions, not personal failings.

Early help tends to make a big difference. The longer a condition goes untreated, the more entrenched the patterns often become — so addressing it sooner usually means an easier path back.
