LESSON 1 · Escape Toxic Patterns

Moving Forward

Recovery from a narcissistic relationship takes time and usually professional support. The damage is real — to your self-esteem, your ability to trust, and your understanding of healthy love.

Rebuild your reality. After gaslighting, relearn how to trust your own perceptions. Notice things, write them down, and do not second-guess.

Grieve honestly. You are grieving the illusion as much as the person. The love you felt was genuine; the person receiving it was performing.

Learn your vulnerabilities. What made you susceptible? People-pleasing, low self-worth, narcissistic parents? Understanding them protects you from repeating the pattern.
