LESSON 1 · Love Starts With You

The Resentment Warning Signs

When self-care disappears, resentment quietly takes its place. You start keeping score. Small annoyances become evidence of an unfair deal, and you snap at your partner over things that never used to bother you.

Resentment follows a predictable path: silent sacrifice (doing what you do not want to do without speaking up), then internal scorekeeping, then withdrawal, and finally an explosion that reflects months of quiet neglect.

The antidote is a weekly check-in. Ask yourself: where am I giving more than I want to, and where do I need to speak up before bitterness builds? Catching resentment early is far easier than unwinding it later.
