LESSON 4 · End the Power Struggle

Structured Sibling Time

Most sibling fights happen during unstructured time. Boredom plus proximity equals conflict. The fix is not separating siblings or filling every minute. It is creating structured togetherness — activities where each child has a clear role.

Also build in alone time for each child. Every child needs moments without siblings. This is not a punishment — it is a recharge. Even 20 minutes of solo time reduces afternoon conflict because each child gets a break from the social demands of sharing space.
