LESSON 2 · Release the Parent Guilt

The Honesty That Heals

When parents are surveyed anonymously, the truth comes out. Most families have more screen time than they admit, more yelling than they show, and more chaos than their Instagram suggests. In private, parents consistently report struggles they would never post in public.

The bravest thing a parent can do is tell the truth to another parent. "Today was terrible" is more helpful than "today was great" because it breaks the isolation. That realization — you are not alone — is medicine.
