Health Claims Are Marketing

Phrases like "natural," "lightly sweetened," and "made with real fruit" have no strict legal definition. A product labeled "natural" can still contain highly processed ingredients.

Only specific nutrient claims are actually regulated. "Low sodium" must mean under 140mg per serving, and "good source of fiber" means the product provides 10% to 19% of the Daily Value per serving. Even the "organic" label only guarantees that 95% of ingredients are organic.
