Recovery Is Where Growth Happens

Training tears your body down. Recovery builds it back stronger. This is the supercompensation principle — your body does not just repair to baseline after stress, it rebuilds slightly above baseline to handle future stress better.

Overtraining without recovery is like withdrawing from a bank without depositing. Gradually you accumulate fatigue, joint pain, and declining performance. This state — called overtraining syndrome in its severe form — can take weeks or months to resolve.
