Sugar In Disguise

Most people guess low on how much sugar they eat, because so much of it hides in plain sight. A scoop of pasta sauce can pack more sugar than a cookie. Flavored yogurt can rival ice cream spoon for spoon.

Add it all up and the typical Western diet smuggles in far more sugar than health authorities advise — the World Health Organization suggests keeping added, or free, sugar to a small slice of your daily calories.
